SCREW COMPACTOR


It dehydrates, compacts and conveys solid residues from civil and industrial sewage filtration or screening. A hopper receives the filtered material; an appropriately thick, shaftless screw conveyor, shrouded directly to the rotation motor, conveys the material through the cradle to the dewatering and compacting area.
Once dehydrated and compacted, the material exits through the discharge opening. The cradle is closed by means of a bolted lid, allowing for quick and easy maintenance. The volume of solids is drastically reduced by up to 50 per cent of the original volume, reducing transport and disposal costs.
By appropriately sizing the length of the screw conveyor, the functions of compacting and conveying the material can be combined.
The screw compactor is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, including the hopper. The screw compactor is constructed from high-strength special steel. The contact surface of the cradle consists of a series of interchangeable bolted plates made of wear-resistant material.
A semi-automatic bagging system for compacted solids in a continuous LONGOPAC bag can be applied to the end of the tube, which allows transport to the storage location with maximum hygiene. Each machine is marked and certified according to Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

HYDRAULIC PISTON COMPACTOR


It dehydrates, compacts and conveys solid residues from civil and industrial sewage filtration or screening. A hopper holds the filtered material; an hydraulic piston driven by a hydraulic power unit compresses and dehydrates the solids inside the cylinder, which is perforated and allows the leachate, collected by a special tray, to escape.
Depending on the requirements of the installation site, the size of the hopper and the length and inclination of the pipe are adapted. All components are oversized to ensure robustness and durability.
The hydraulic compactor is made of AISI 304 stainless steel, including the hopper, control unit and leachate collection tray. A semi-automatic system for bagging the compacted solids in a continuous LONGOPAC bag can be applied to the end of the tube, allowing transport to the storage location with maximum hygiene.

  • DEWATERING

    The screened material is dewatered, the leachate escapes through holes drilled in the compression chamber and is collected in a scum box.
  • COMPRESSION

    The volume of solids is drastically reduced by up to 25% of the original volume, reducing transport and disposal costs.
  • TRANSPORT

    The compactor conveys the pressed material to the collection container via a closed pipe, which guarantees maximum hygiene. The tube can be applied at all inclinations. This conveying and lifting function avoids the need for additional machinery such as a conveyor belt or screw conveyor.
