Designed to remove suspended solids from sewage, FILTROSTAR is an automatic screen suitable for installation in a gutter or containment tank. It is equipped with a continuous self-cleaning filtering belt, consisting of a dense mesh of profiled elements capable of conveying the retained material to the ejection section located in the upper part of the machine.
FILTROSTAR essentially consists of a frame within which the filtering belt runs on special guides, which separates the suspended solids from the slurry and conveys them to the upper part of the machine. Here, thanks to the special conformation of the teeth, when the belt motion is reversed, self-cleaning takes place, which is made more effective by the use of a counter-rotating brush at the discharge point. In this way, the solids will fall by gravity into a bin, compactor or onto a conveyor belt. The Filtrostar screen has a higher flow rate and is also suitable for water containing elongated fibres.
